The Landemarais peat bog in Parigné is one of Brittany's three sphagnum bogs. It is now classified as being of national interest and is of great importance for scientists. The vegetation is outstanding here and the area is popular with nesting, wintering or migratory birds. In addition to its many species of wild animal, it now boasts three mule-breeding horses from the Poitou area.
