So don’t delay, come today!

CASTLES AND FORTRESSES!

Take a journey back in time!

Situated on the edge of Brittany, Ille-et-Vilaine had the task of defending its borders through the ages. The castles and fortresses of the Brittany Marches tirelessly recount the story of the heyday of the region’s history.

THIS WAY TO THE STANDING STONES…

Head for the Landes de Cojoux at Saint-Just. Maybe Obelix has already been here! The area is full of dolmens, standing stones and burial mounds set among moorland scenery criss-crossed with footpaths. At Essé, whatever you do, don’t upset the fairies at Roche-aux-Fées who may reveal the secret of the largest dolmen in France. The mysterious theme continues at Lampouy near Médréac where more than 48 menhirs stand silently at the heart of the countryside.

Head to prehistoric times
