The Ile aux Pies lies within the boundaries of three towns, Bains-sur-Oust in Ille-et-Vilaine and Glénac and Saint Vincent-sur-Oust in Morbihan. It is an outstanding beauty spot crossed by the River Oust, with grandiose scenery. Rocky cliffs plunge down into the river. Marshes, rivers, streams and lakes weave their way in and out of woodland.
