Les dunes des Chevrets et Île Besnard

The Dunes de Chevret, a natural area acquired by the coastal conservancy agency in 1986, are part of the Ile Besnard tombolo. Since the dune was previously used as a campsite, it had been badly damaged and seemed likely to disappear altogether. It has now been reshaped, planted with marram grass and protected with fencing.
