Manoir de L'Alleu

The « Manoir de l'Alleu » is a lovely, 17th-century house in peaceful, wooded grounds of 8 hectares (horses welcome), 10 minutes from the literary village of Bécherel and the 11 locks at Hédé, 15 minutes from Rennes and 30 minutes from the beaches of St Malo. Less than an hour from numerous places of interest, it is a great place for a family holiday in relaxing rural surroundings. The 2 tastefully decorated, well-appointed sites adjacent to the owners’ home each sleeps 4-6 people. For a more unusual stay, there are tree houses. Not far from the Brocéliande Forest, fairies sometimes lose their way near the Manoir, and on some nights, you can even hear the tinkling of their fairy bells...Legend has it that if your heart if pure and no evil spirits are lingering in the air, the fairies will invite you into their kingdom. The owners have a double B&B guest room on the ground floor of their home with an en-suite bathroom and WC. Guests are welcome to use the adjoining owners’ lounge with fireplace, piano, pool table and various wooden games. Breakfast is served at the family dining table or on the patio, depending on the time of year. It includes coffee, tea, chocolate, milk, home-made bread and pastries, home-made jams and apple juice made from the Manoir’s apples.
